Loading & Discharge via Seagoing Vessels & Barges
In Pasir Gudang, FGVJB has the capacity to process 4 to 5 million tonnes of oil each year with dedicated storage facilities for oleochemicals and biodiesel, boasting a combined capacity of 61,100 tonnes. Additionally, our terminals can accommodate up to five seagoing vessels (with a draught of 8m at the inner jetty and 12.5m at the outer jetty) and two barges (with a draught ranging from 4 to 6m) simultaneously. Each terminal is equipped with dedicated export pipelines, capable of pumping at an average rate of 250 to 350 tonnes per hour.
Receiving and Despatching via Pipeline Transfer
Our advanced pipeline system enables direct oil transfer to and from major palm oil refineries, resulting in reduced transport costs and minimal oil handling. This approach mitigates the risk of contamination and helps preserve oil quality. The pipeline system supports the transfer of both crude and refined products.
Bulking and Collection via Road Tankers
Our bulking and collection process for road tankers is streamlined and secure, thanks to our weighbridge, equipped with a security system. This system ensures accurate weight measurement before and after loading, minimising the risk of malpractices.
At the discharging bay, we offer a pumping capacity of 100 cubic meters per hour, with automated pump operations controlled by our bulking security system. This automation prevents product contamination, enhances safety, and maintains product quality. It also expedites the process, reducing wait times and ensuring timely deliveries. Quantity & Quality Control
The storage tanks are fully equipped with computerised automatic tank heating control system to regulate temperatures for each product in the tank and prevent overheating especially for higher value products. Automatic tank gauging systems are also installed to monitor the level and temperature of the product in the tank.
Information on the stock at any tank is also made readily available through computerised means (using Integrated Tank Management System).
All these systems have been checked and approved by SIRIM (Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) and the Customs Department while all tanks were calibrated by qualified surveyors under SIRIM’s supervision.
We adhere to commercial, computerized and stringent quality controls of oil at various stages. All these are conducted at a fully equipped laboratory headed by qualified chemists. The laboratory is licensed by Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) as well as accredited with ISO/IEC 17025 by Department of Standards Malaysia.
To ensure quality control, tanks are also internally coated or made of stainless steel. In addition, nitrogen blanketing and sparging facilities are available for high quality oil. Stirrers are also provided to ensure that the oil is properly homogenised. Colour coded pipelines in the pump houses provide additional visual safety.
